“Field Lines (copper)”

“My Field Lines body of work is inspired by the electromagnetic lines depicted in scientific and mathematical literature. I am intrigued by the push and pull of energy and its sensory attraction-and-repulsion aesthetic in everything from particle physics to personal and cultural dynamics.

My new lithograph, Field Lines (copper), was drawn from rubbings taken from the Field Lines works.

The original sculptures were constructed of shredded and compacted scientific documents that were subsequently embedded with resin elements to depict vector fields.

As art derived from and inspired by the unique works, this new print visualizes the phenomena of influence—how mimesis becomes genesis.”
